Top candidates might come from a variety of backgrounds, including dealer advertising and media sales, dealer training products, CRM or software solution sales, business development center (BDC)/Internet department management, and others. The key is to be able to balance a sales spirit with a passion for technology.To be a good fit for the SaleMove Product Specialist opportunity you should have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- Solid knowledge of technology (both automotive and general) and the ability to communicate technical features to non-technical audiences
- A process focus with a track record of success in sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels, including with Internet Managers, General Managers, etc.
- Strong self-motivation, a desire to help build a start-up business, and the resilience to keep on even after hearing "no"
- Adaptability and comfort with a rapidly evolving work dynamic
- An innovative spirit, high energy, and passion for technology
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
The Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will join a growing SaleMove team that also includes another SaleMove Product Specialist and a Prospecting Specialist. In essence, the Prospecting Specialist makes first contact with dealers and sets up demo appointments. You will then conduct the demo and follow through to close the sale.This new technology is the most cutting edge example in customer engagement and interaction in the automotive industry, you'll be the spokesperson. That means you will need to be the product expert and know SaleMove inside and out. A typical demo will last about 30 minutes, during which you will drive down to the nuts and bolts. Occasionally you may close the sale at the end of the demo, but typical sales cycles are three to four weeks. Often multiple decision makers are involved.
We'll look to you to project a confident, yet friendly demeanor and present compelling sales arguments that showcase why we're the preferred online marketplace that has helped over twenty-seven million car buyers, generating billions of dollars in car sales for dealers. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor, work closely with management on a daily basis, and to help pave the road for the SaleMove platform.

- Become familiar with the competitive details of other programs in the marketplace
- Maintain detailed records within Salesforce and other systems
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about the SaleMove technology
- Help improve scripts and processes in collaboration with the SaleMove team
- Handle other duties as assigned

Keys to Success
To excel in this role you will understand that this sales effort is a numbers game: the more calls you make, the more demos you will book, and the more money you will make. We get it: it can be very difficult to keep at it after hearing rejections. We'll do our part by keeping the environment upbeat and positive, but you'll need a tough skin, tenacity, and a strong goal orientation. You should be an extroverted go-getter, an accomplished sales professional who not only can "talk the talk" but also "walk the walk" by aggressively hunting and closing new deals.At the same time, technical fluency will be essential. You'll spend the majority of your time on the demo portion, and you'll need the knowledge and patience to make every stop on the route -- no shortcuts. The key is BOTH a strong demo and solid sales skills. We understand it will take some time for you to get up to speed with SaleMove, but we'll look to you to be proactive and learn quickly.
