Today, Autobytel is gearing up once again to change how cars are sold online by teaming up with SaleMove, a technology company based in NY. SaleMove is an innovative communications technology that combines video, chat, and guided browsing to recreate the showroom experience on a dealership website. Autobytel is the exclusive provider of SaleMove's innovative technology in the automotive vertical.

The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you should have:
  • Solid B2B cold-calling sales experience
  • Skill at building rapport quickly over the phone
  • Technical savvy and proficiency with online software tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to communication effectively at all levels, including with Internet Managers, General Managers, etc.
  • Strong self-motivation and the resilience to keep on even after hearing "no"
  • Adaptability and comfort with a rapidly evolving work dynamic
  • An innovative spirit, high energy, and passion for technology
  • A strong goal orientation
  • A bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred but not required:
  • Automotive experience
  • Experience selling software or similar technology products

You will work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM in order to connect with dealers in multiple time zones.

The Role

Reporting to the National Sales Director, you will join a growing SaleMove team that also includes two SaleMove Specialists. In essence, you will make first contact with dealers and set up demo appointments. The SaleMove Specialists will then conduct the demo to close the sale.

We'll provide a list of qualified prospects comprised of dealers who already use other Autobytel products. In that sense these won't be absolutely cold calls, as you'll talk with people who already know and trust the Autobytel name. At the same time, this is a brand new product that the dealers have never heard of before. Your specific activities will include:
  • Meeting established goals and benchmarks for online product presentations and closed sales
  • Working with the SaleMove team to identify target markets and high value dealer prospects
  • Creating customized pre-demo information sheets
  • Sending marketing materials and program details to prospective clients
  • Maintaining detailed records within Salesforce and demo scheduling software
  • Developing scripts and strategy for optimized calling process
  • Establishing open communication with the SaleMove team
  • Handling other duties as assigned
