As a Road Test Editor for Autobytel and MyRide.com, you'll ensure everyone from the average consumer to the avid enthusiast has the information he or she needs to make the right buying decisions by experiencing each vehicle as if you were in "their shoes" and developing highly perceptive vehicle evaluations, as well as in-depth coverage of new vehicle releases, auto shows, and related current events.

Our Requirements
- 2+ years experience (preferably 4+ years) in an automotive-related editorial role
- Outstanding writing and editing abilities, including familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook
- Proven web writing experience and a grounded understanding of SEO
- Strong knowledge and interest in the automotive industry and its history
- Clean driving record
- Strong computer proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Solid organizational abilities
- Team player approach

In our Irvine headquarters, you'll work with a talented team of Road Test Editors and Production Support to create high quality content that delivers on our readers' expectations.
Your specific responsibilities in this position will include:
- Conducting evaluations on vehicles.
- Creating written vehicle reviews that will be posted on our websites.
- Creating various online content such as blogs, vehicle features, and car news.
- Communicating directly with manufacturers, suppliers, OEM public relations and other industry professionals.
- Attending various auto shows and creating online content about featured vehicles.
- Collaborating with your team and editing your peers' work.

Your success in this role will be based on your ability to:
- Remain adaptable and put yourself into the mindsets of a wide variety of automobile buyers;
- Understand and appropriately evaluate different vehicles;
- Use that information and your tremendous writing ability to develop highly creative online reviews that offer an objective perspective and relate to our readers' level of understanding; and
- Work autonomously to consistently meet consecutive deadlines.
