Our growth has created the need for a Business Analyst who can provide impeccable support to our Leads Management & Reporting team by understanding the economics of our complex business and analyzing and reporting data to help us achieve our financial objectives. Specifically, you will "own" one of our largest key accounts that is generating a $1M/month in revenue, nurturing this account and providing the requisite amount of hand-holding and account management to ensure success.

This is a high-impact position as the Leads Management team controls all the inflow and outflow of leads that generate about 80% of our total revenue. You will bring your analytical expertise to identify the weakest links, and help us flag and resolve issues before they become problems.

If you have. . .
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive business/data analysis experience with solid understanding of leads process and economics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to run SQL queries.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with general accounting skills, including AP and AR.
  • Outstanding communications skills, both oral and written, including good phone and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English; ability to understand and modify legal contracts.

More About Your Role

This is a newly-created position reporting directly to our Manager, Leads Management & Reporting, and you will join six other staff in our Leads Management team in the Irvine office. Your primary responsibilities are assisting the team with needs analysis, monthly reconciliations and statements, interacting daily with key accounts and affiliates as well as with OEM sales, marketing and IT groups within the organization.

It will take you a good six months to begin to grasp the nuances of our complex business, and although we expect you to know the basics by then, you'll face a life-long learning curve.

In a nutshell, you will spend about 70% of your time in clearly defined pursuits, such as analyzing and reporting data from particular key account(s) and providing back-up for certain SOX control points. The balance of your time will be devoted to ad hoc projects that arise. Specifically, your responsibilities are to:
  • Assist in reporting and managing select partner relations.
  • Develop key metrics reporting of the Lead Management Department.
  • Assess lead flows, lead analysis and make recommendations based on that analysis.
  • Search and identify any irregularities and/or system exceptions to isolate lead volume or quality issues.
  • Perform other analysis duties as needed by the Lead Management Department.
  • Work with inter-departmental groups to isolate concerns regarding lead quality or volume.
